This precision formed brass connector is part of an auxiliary input jack adaptor. It is designed as an in-vehicle plug-in device for MP3 and other personal entertainment / communication systems.
Produced from CDA 260 brass and nickel plated, it is formed on a 312 Platarg transfer press. All of the tooling was designed and fabricated here at Gem including all of the shaped die work. The bottom face of the connector is visible in the dash or console requiring that it have a near perfect cosmetic finish.
The estimated annual usage of this product is 2,500,000 units.
